Q. Are you a full time cartoonist ? What else do you do ?
Yes, i am a full time comic strip cartoonist, i don’t understand why people assume that cartooning can not be
a full time career, for me it’s a full time 10 to 6 job. this is the only job i have and it is everything a full time job is.

Q. when and how did cartooning start ?
I satrted in early 90s, it happened around 93-94, got the first comic printed in Newstime an English daily from Hyderabad. I started off in a different way, i drew 24 comics and sent to all the newspapers in every city. some responded, some encouraged the idea some just ignored the sales kit. a few papers were interested but then
Newstime from Hyderabad was the first one to say yes and to start printing them. other newspapers followed.

Q. Why a three panel cartoon ?
A three panel cartoon is not too long not too short, this is comics strip form, where you tell a small story and
can build up characters too.

Q. what are the names of the three characters in the cartoon ?
The main guy in yellow tshirt is now called Rezi Vastav. others still are nameless.

Q. Are they inspired from someone you know ?
Nope, not at all.

Q. Your favorite comedian ?
Comedian as in comic strip artist? charles shultz, jim borgman, patrick mcdowell and bill watterson

Q. Funniest Person you’ve ever met…(who’s not a comedian)..
funniest man i know, must be vinay pathak then. known him for 15 years and it’s impossible not to crack up in
his presence.

Q. What do you think about Level of humor in Films/TV ?
Big fan of the simpsons. lot of tv shows make me laugh. like really laugh.

Q. What’s Next ?
In comic strip, trying to develop characters. trying to build short stories within the comic strip so they can run over one or two weeks.
